2006 chevy trailblazer ac vents not working.
This is a small servo motor that turns the door internal of the HVAC housing. There is a recalibration procedure for the actuator that you can 'try' first: Place the ignition switch to the OFF position. Remove the "HVAC" fuse (located in the rear fuse block) for a minimum of 10 seconds. Re-install the HVAC fuse.

Removing the glove compartment, ECU and ECU bracket accesses the air inlet servo. I have successfully replaced the actuator twice using some online guides. However, my actuator has gone out again (dead battery, probably a parasitic draw).Sounds like a problem with the front blower motor. there is a blower motor resistor for the front blower motor that controls the speed of the blower and tends to go bad or fry out the blower motor. thats the most likely scenerio since you stated the control head was lighting up and responded to button changes. One of the evil GM design team's little "gifts" to confuse the owners. :hissy: What you should check (with a meter if you have it, not by eye) is labeled TBC5, rear fuse block #32, 10A.

The dealer diaged it as the mode door actuator, anyone have info on how to get to it in the center console ...
