I usually go 1/2 turn, some of the manuals call for 2 turns, it won't affect the running under normal conditions. When we used to race a hydraulic engine we woud try to get them at zero so if the valves floated they wouldn't pump up. What you are trying to do is center the lifter so it can correct either way, two turns won't bottom it out.
