Not cheating. Sure, there can be some gratification found in doing things more slowly/working to get certain items but, heck, a lot of the really "good" Amiibo items aren't even available in the game without Amiibo so whatevs. The whole point to the game, I'm going to argue, is you have fun finding your own path and way to play.
I'm not familiar with the program you're using so I have no real solution (short of try all the files? get new files? really idk), but in game if you can't use an amiibo somewhere it won't show you a circle like you're seeing in the video, it will just be an X. I'd imagine the program would do the same, but I have no idea.
