There isn't much spells that deal poise damage aside from gravity spells. I think Flame of the Redmanes is a unique one just for fire spells so I don't think they will ever nerf it. Just like Glintblade Phalanx being a unique sorcery that deal poise damage. There could be more but I don't use enough sorcery to know.

Flame of the redmanes doesn't scale off weapon damage at all, so there's no benefit to using it with something huge. I agree, for raw damage lions claw, flame of the redmane damage will get bad quick, though the heavy poise damage is the appeal, I used it on my executioners greataxe, very brutal. Nothing beats vacuum slice on my great sword.

Repeated charged heavies. Glintstone Kris might be what you're looking for! The AoW with the R2 follow up staggers almost anything. Glintstone Phalanx also staggers and can be put on weapons. Square Off, one of the most broken Ash of War in the entire game. Glintblade Phalanx also works quite well.
