I would still either play a midranged sharpshooting longbow build that teleports effortlessly out of melee range, or a skirmishing GWM melee Bamfing build. Neither are bad builds, but Tasha’s made the ranger chassis itself feel way better, so Horizon Walker would also be better.

Apr 10, 2020 · I would say take the first 5 levels ranger. Then take either two levels of druid or three of rogue. Scout and assassin would work well for your concept. I would say wield a longsword and shield, or a greatsword/axe as the horizon walker is about one powerful attack. If you weren't being melee, you could take a longbow and focus on that.
