I got home last night at 1045 from my second job and decided to run the lost sector to get the new exotics on my 3 characters (or so i thought). I ran it for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Bows are best for overload. Need to hold bow briefly for overload to proc. And I have a hunch the more lives you have the better chance you have of getting exotic. This is the most important question. If it's just dropping random exotics rather than the slots, it probably means the lost sector has a glitched weightage on the general loot table. Which means you might have zero chance of getting something you haven't already got before. Reply reply. dueceloco.

Way back in beyond light, I remember that it was around a 25% drop rate, but I've done well over two dozen clears on legend with zero exotic drops. Did bungie nerf the drop rate? Which version of the lost sector is better to farm in order to unlock exotics? I'm currently light level 1805 and it is a true pain in the rear to complete the Master version. Is the easier version better since it is done quicker even though the exotic drop rate is (rare)? just do legend not worth the extra time for master.
