The difficulty with Model 70 numbers comes not after '63 but after '92. Winchester released a guide that has both pre-'64 and post-'63 serial numbers (see pg. 30), however, it only goes up to end-of-year '92 (S/N #G2037985), and I have never been able to find anything that goes beyond that, though I would be happy to learn otherwise.
