May 17, 2023 · Docked mode Handheld mode For one, there is a noticeable additional blur over the image in the docked mode which shouldn't be there with nearest neighbor scaling. You can also observe nearest neighbor scaling artifacts despite that existing scaling blur being there in the docked image, none of which should be there if it was truly outputting 1440p. Still, it is an impressive feat on launch day, although Yuzu and Ryujinx have often surprised their users by providing optimized versions of Nintendo Switch exclusives on day one.

When trying to emulate a slower GPU and a lower resolution, you get better performance. The logic is there, and credit to the team for the execution. It's like a CPU/GPU clock override built into the console! Except way better, because the games themselves are expecting it. I was away from world of emulation and its news for afew months. Honestly, though, if you love playing handheld mode, then just keep doing it. I have the opposite experience - docked on a decent TV feels so much easier to see what's going on and take really good lines imo. Pro controller feels nicer than joycons as well. But honestly just use whatever feels good to you.

You must find a Mod that makes the Game Render docked 720p then you can tell the emulator in the settings that the Emulator rise the Resolution 2x up. Weird. Stange. 2x handheld gives me 1440p. So if you are using docked mode in handheld, you're downscaling window resolution to 720p which means you will get not clean image, but approximation. This is technology issue you cannot get past.
