Nov 9, 2007 · Upon investigating, the light was the green power light on my TivoHD that is normally steady on. There was no video or audio signal coming from the TiVo to the TV, no other lights on the TiVo panel were on and the TiVo was completely nonresponsive to signals from the remote (the yellow IR detection light wouldn't even come on).
I found the Tivo unit with the green power light on, however, nothing came up on the TV. I then played with the remote (and standby button) and all of sudden the power/rec lights starting flashing alternately. I unplugged the unit (no reset button) and waited some seconds. When I plugged it back in, all that came on was the fan. No power …I realise this is likely 3 months too late, but for others who have these exact problems (green LED and 'give me disks' message with no drives, but blinking blue LED with ANY disk added), the solution that worked for me was to replace the power supply. Apr 16, 2006 · So got the 4 blinking lights today, pondering if it's worth calling TiVo. Bolt Vox 3tb was activated in Dec-2017, so less than 3 years old, but no extended warranty, but with lifetime service. It seems if I call support the best case is an offer to transfer the service to a 2TB Edge. Alternative is to replace the bolt drive.
