It does since last patch, cooking pots lose durability when cooking. Low pop server or get just get very lucky, everyone's picking them up rn. You could watch Wobos recent YouTube video about them. You can also get a long stick from a tree by taking a knife, going up to a tree and clicking on the option to "Cut branch".
