The best street tires of today would be considered far out, exotic race type tires in 1970. A 62-72 B body can be made to ride and handle quite well if the money is spent in the right places. The tailshaft is shortened, the trans mount was modded/lowered. There are also some rear axle wedges on the spring perches, to help with pinion angle and/or vibration -Karl had this done after the conversion.
