However, I got to chasing the "no lights" problem and found the chassis relay to not be working. There is one other thing you can try, which is very simple ~ sometimes these machines will get little air in the top of the engine. There is a screw to let the air out - this is a simple thing to do to make sure that is not the problem. You will need to know how to do that anyway if you drain the water.
