The primary thing I think was they reduced the amount of the carry melt treatment a little. The round wire spring that Kimber sells is is good for about 800 rounds. The other advantage of the flat wire spring is that you won't need a tool to break the gun ...Here's one I can speak from experience on. I own both. The Ultra Carry is a stainless model with alloy frame and of course the Glock I reference is the 36. Kimber weighs 25.0 oz. and 8 rounds capacity. Glock 36 weighs 20.0 oz. and 7 rounds capacity.
