I have the Deluxe Edition, and I've listened to the mono mix once. The stereo mix is not exactly hi-fi, but the songs benefit from the (minimal) stereo separation, imho. There is a single disc version with this mastering, it's a Verve Classics CD from 2005 (red spine). The Deluxe sounds really bad, horrifying EQ and lots of compression.
