How do i record a program on xfinity.
When we first started using Xfinity Stream, our DVR recordings played back in full screen. Then, at some point, I hit some unhappy combination of buttons, and now the playback is only about 70% of the TV's screen. (This happens on all of our devices, both FireTV and FireStick, now.)
That's really disappointing, especially since Xfinity has the capability to extend by 60 or 90 minutes & chooses not to do so. My previous Dish DVR could do it for any program & so can my HTPC. But Xfinity makes you record 1 or 2 extra programs depending on how much time you want to add. Not very user friendly.After setting up a recording with Xfinity X1, you have the ability to change the start or stop time of a recorded program by following these steps: 1) Press the Xfinity button on the remote. 2) Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight Saved and press OK. 3) Highlight Scheduled and press OK. 4) Highlight the program to modify and press OK. Open the Xfinity Stream app while connected to any WiFi network or mobile network. Swipe left to right to open the main navigation, or hit the menu button (three stacked horizontal lines) on the top-left. Tap All Channels with the Live TV header to open the TV listings grid. Scroll through the listings to find a program to record.
If your stored recordings were getting full, a letter was sent to you with a target % to get under to make sure you don't lose your recordings. To see your current storage %, press the xfinity button on your remote, then click Saved, then Recordings. You will see the % full at the top-right of the screen, listed above your recorded programs.

Happened to me tonight. Recording only one show and the no other cable boxes turned on in the house. Trying to watch a show that has been for almost two hours. The suggestion above worked tonight. Went to Xfinity/Saved and positioned on the show and hit the Pause/Play button and the show started playing. Never had this happen before.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with being a set top box, it has to do with the coding of the app. I'm not going to record a show just to use something that should already be available. Besides you only get 20 hours of DVR. Face facts and reality, this app is poor and from a company like Comcast it is beyond ridiculous.
