Unplug the vacuum line from your iwe solenoid, see if noise goes away, report back. Edit: the vacuum line from solenoid to actuators, not the line from solenoid to vacuum box / engine. Sounds like the iwe's are not pulling in thus turning the front diff full time which will make a little noise but shouldn't be excessive.

Groaning noises are usually associated with a bad bearing, generally speaking, a wheel bearing.
