My niece has a 08 Patriot and has had problems with the vehicle not engaging the starter when the key is turned to the start position. This happens either when the vehicle is in a cold start or warm start situation. I has never failed to start but she has to turn the key ...Today I took my 2009 Jeep patriot Sport out for a half mile drive. Got out for 5 minutes, got back in and it wouldn't start. Made sure battery terminals were secured tightly and that there was no battery acid effecting connectivity. Multimeter shows correct voltage of battery indicating it is not dead or dying ( 2 years old)Welp after getting past this no crank no start issue and replacing all of the ground connections at the driver side headlight things ran good for a week or so. Yesterday I used the auto starter to warm the car before taking a 2 minute drive home everything was fine.
