It has some sort of motion sensor. The "low oil" alarm is for when the oil resevoir is low. I would immediately mix the fuel to 50::1, in case the no oil alarm is accurate, until you fix the motor.

The OMC problems from this era are because of the Evinrude ficht fuel injected engine problems. The carb models are very strong and reliable.
