Turn your Optima’s engine on. Then, rock the car with your foot off the brake. Press the brake down when you have rocked uphill. You want to “catch” it with the brake at the right time. This will take pressure off of the parking lock. Apply light pressure to the shifter when doing this.

I have a 2003 Kia Optima SE V6. I am having problem unlocking the 4 doors with the power lock switch. When I try to unlock the doors with the switch, I hear a relay operating but the doors do not unlock. The doors do lock using the switch. The lock itself will even slightly shake but not change positions. I'd say they only work properly less than 10% of the time.
