Posted November 30, 2022. On your oil filter stand there are 2 different oil control solenoids that control oil to the piston cooling nozzles and the oil temperature. The engine ECM controls these solinoids. No exact data on actual temps they are trying to achieve though. But 250 degrees in the summer is common.

Be careful when removing the egr valve mount bolts, they have a bad tendency to break off in the exh. manifold. Work them off slowly and use a lot of quality penetrating oil. When going back together use copper anti-seize on the bolt threads and under the bolt heads/spacers. Torque for the egr mount bolts is 35 ft/lbs.All these faults set during a parked regen and not during a road test. 99% sure your dpf is bad, but also check your turbo and piping and egr system make sure you don't have a sticking egr valve or turbo and causing excessive soot in dpf.
