Some universities will accept major changes before a student starts school, but that student would have qualified for admission into the new major if they had applied for it from the get go. I’m not sure how USC evaluates situations like this but I’m sure they are used to applicants who try to game the system. Scholarship from a sponsoring college; If a NM Finalist does not receive either 1 or 2 above, USC will award the student an additional scholarship on top of the Presidential, to make the student a NM Scholar. In the past, the additional scholarship was $4K ($500/semester for 8 semesters).
