It's definitely not overheating, because modern GPUs and CPUs don't really shut down when they are overheating.Find the iFixit teardown of the Xbox One X. Watch it all the way through til you have the heat sync off the CPU. Then take an alcohol wipe and clean all crust and old thermal paste off the heat sync and the CPU. Then apply a medium sized blob of new thermal paste to the center of the CPU and re-seat the heat sync.
