Reinforced not only shrugs off some attacks entirely (tiger plants, for example) it allows you protection from high heat. And water's not that hard to get, especially if you have yourself a forward base in the tree cove (which I highly recommend). I know the Reinforced Dive Suit protects you more, but it also slows you down. I know the Stillsuit gives you Reclaimed Water, but it lowers your hunger. I am not sure which one to make.
