It's because the 1e kineticist used Con. But, the 1e class needed the hit points to use for the burn mechanic. This class doesn't need that at all, and should really use strength or dexterity like a fighter. It's to differ from those based on strength, con, int or cha. It gives a different flavor.The end result is that the class is easier to play, involves less resource management, and doesn’t need to balance the risks of Burn.
