Also, since Monk starts with Expert Reflex saves a level 1 monk with 12 Dex still has a +6 on the roll against trips (+8 once in Mountain Stance). That seems solid to me, and once the Monk hits level 7 they have the flexibility from Path to Perfection to bump up Reflex saves to be right back on track to having amazing saves across the board.
