I prefer the Mark III or IV, but not the 22/45 versions. The grip angle feels wrong even though I shoot 1911's often. The standard Mark grip just feels better to me. My current arsenal of .22 caliber semi-auto target pistols is comprised of a Smith & Wesson model 41, Smith & Wesson Victory, and two Ruger MKII pistols, one is a stainless 5.5 in bbl target and the other is a Volquartsen 3.5 in bbl Compact Carry.Browning -- overall build quality, and fit and finish. S&W -- cheap and a decent trigger out of the box. Ruger -- the unparalleled aftermarket, and the disassembly ease (This only applies to the Mark IV though, nothing earlier) If you live in a free state, I encourage you to buy any with a threaded barrel.
