Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.

So I got rid of those 2. The stock fire control units in a P are machined and better quality than factory Prodigy. The DLC finish is LIGHT YEARS better than the Cerakote on the prodigy, my P has a DLC barrel as well. Dawson red dot plates are 150 to 160 for a Staccato, unless you want to run a DPP, which is only $40 for that kit.

I’ve seen a lot of upgraded and customized Springfield DS Prodigy’s out there that look great. I know of the QC issues with the stock Prodigy’s which seem to be fixed by upgrading some of the internals. It seems like you can actually buy a Prodigy, upgrade and customize it for the price of a Staccato P, or maybe even less.
