It's most likely the root cause of the AC issue, or a faulty interconnect, -if you're lucky. Check all CUE-related fuses first. Then ensure the steering wheel controls communicate with the CUE.The motor was not running. That lead me to the pump as the problem. I also read that the pump might be a warranty item under the Voltec coverage. That did not work out. The Dealer quoted me around $450 for the repair.
