Finally scanned the 10th receipt for $1 and only a penny afterwards. Also looks like the bonus 50cents for apples can only be done once. I'll probably only scan a receipt if it has the other 50cent bonus items (cookies, shampoo, toothpaste, milk, detergent). You can scan receipts with these items again after 7 days.
