You can completely bypass (and cure) the pinch sensor issue with as little as a paperclip. All you need to do is unplug the two wire connector plugs from the aluminum pinch arms, and use the paperclip bent small enough to act as a joiner between the two connector plugs. The problem is that aluminum corrodes in the presence of ammonia.
My Litter Robot 3 Connect is named Coprophage 3000. I cleaned the contacts with alcohol and then lemon juice. I bent the prongs on the bonnet. Duct tape is working for now, but I'm going to try to wire the contacts to their corresponding prongs first before I attempt to short the sensor. I want to keep the night light for as long as possible.
