Lyft should not be dispatching drivers to requests that Lyft knows is not economically viable unless Lyft makes that viable for the driver. Pay for these rides from marketing, but don't send "independent" contractors out to do rides that you wouldn't send an employee out on. It's exploitative and unethical.
