This trip, however, was a different story. Las Vegas itself has changed dramatically in the last few years. The Vdara has poor customer service. Our first day the room they checked us into was dirty.

Bellagio is classic Vegas. Vdara is FAR from it and does not even have a casino. Bellagio also has a more central location and it is easy to get to and from many different hotels/casinos from their location. Just returned from Las Vegas for a convention. We chose the Vdara primarily because it doesn't have a casino and it is nonsmoking. It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel, and the rooms are large. It is quiet and has kitchen facilities. It is very nice to be able to have snacks, soft drinks, and breakfast foods in the room. Exit Vdara through the main doors and walk around Harmon Circle to the Aria north valet doors. Walk through Aria until you reach Jean Phillippe, then turn left. Hug the left side of the casino, go past the check-in desk, continue on the left side and exit through to Crystals using the doors next to Julian Serrano.Vdara is on the strip, just set back a bit, next to Bellagio, condo style hotel, no casino.Good choice. Trump is north strip, set behind the Fashion Show Mall, a car would be handy, unless you want to cab it everywhere. Not the best location, kinda remote.
